About

The Green Tax Expert Blog by the Green Research Council is designed to help green businesses and environmentally conscious companies understand the tax credits and other incentives offered by federal and state governments to reward businesses that  practice energy efficiency and take active measures to reduce carbon emissions.

Many green tax initiatives were improved or added in the 2009 Stimulus Package.  While some will expire in 2009, others will continue on through 2010 and beyond.

We will monitor changes in the tax law that affect green tax credits and incentives for businesses.

The Green Research Council is a research and advocacy group with a mission to provide empowering information and to be at the cutting edge of green technology, environmental sustainability and energy conservation issues. In the wake of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the GRC’s research efforts have culminated in the launch of the Green Stimulus Guide designed to inform the GRC’s reader base on how to leverage energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building opportunities under the ARRA. As the ARRA and other federal, state and local policies continue to shift the macro-economic landscape in favor of sustainable energy initiatives, the GRC will continue to provide its partners and readers with up-to-date analysis and informative research.

The GRC has also published the Green Tax Guide and the Green Jobs Guide.

The GRC’s team includes LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accredited professionals, with advanced degrees, extensive professional experience and a deep knowledge base in green buildings, energy efficiency, sustainability, and state as well as federal government policy.
